Since the opening of the Galway Clinic they introduced lots of medical services to the west of Ireland such as Radiotherapy, Open Heart Surgery, PET/CT Imaging, Robotic assisted surgery, Private Emergency Room, Laser Eye Surgery.

The Galway Clinic has introduced competition into the health care environment by removing the perception of exclusivity without compromising the delivery of medical excellence to all its patients. The Galway Clinic is a state of the art hospital which provides 24 hour health care services. There are in excess of 120 Physicians and Surgeons within the Clinic.

It has 146 in-patient beds; eight of which are ICU beds and the remaining 138 are on five in-patient units (Mother Teresa Unit, O’Malley Unit, Freyer Unit, John Paul II Unit and Our Lady of Knock Unit). There is a Same Day Surgery unit and Emergency Room. There are seven operating suites, an endoscopy suite, a cath lab and an oncology day unit. Diagnostic modalities include CT, PET/CT, and MRI among others.

JOB OFFER & BENEFITS

  • Salary is between €31,875 – €43,800 per annum for 40 hours (10 hour shifts) per week. Salary paid depends on years of experience. Theatre staff also receive a location allowance. Vacancies available – scrub nurse, aenesthetic nurse, but also for other departments such as cardiology, cath lab and general nursing.
  • Premiums for unsocial hours between Monday and Saturday, time and a sixth (aprox. 16% more) from 6pm onwards to end of shift (Payable for day shift only 7am – 8pm)
  • Night shifts are paid at time and a quarter (25% more).
  • Sunday & Public Holidays – double time
  • Pension scheme – 5% of salary  = company contribution after 12 months service
  • Induction Period of one week corporate orientation and then departmental orientation
  • Other training opportunities such as In-house training and support for external courses
