Woodlands House is within two minutes walk of Navan town. It is an elegant Georgian building featuring high ceilings, original wooden floors and sash windows. It was originally the rectory and many Navan residents remember attending dances and tennis parties held there. All their produce, meats and fish are sourced from local farms and butchers and are delivered straight to their door. Gardening activities are arranged when the weather is clement. This is a nursing home with maximum 30 beds.


Trim Road, Navan, Co. Meath. Navan is 30 minutes away from Dublin.

Navan is served by several bus routes. The most frequent route is the 109 to Dublin which departs from the Market Square (this is a direct route).

• Nurses range is from €18 to €21 per hour, depending on experience
• Carers range is from €9.50 to €11 per hour (employer will employ Pre-reg nurse as HCA initially with a predetermined number of hours on a weekly basis devoted to training as a nurse with mentor)
• Premium for nights, weekends and Bank holidays
• Shifts work in rotation (usually 4 on and 3 off)
• 42 hours per week
• Meals are provided on duty
• First uniform is provided
• Assistance is available in obtaining suitable accommodation
• Assistance with PPS number, bank account etc.
• Salary advance is available
• Flights are paid (recouped only if nurse leaves within a certain timeframe)

Probation is 6 months, induction depends on the candidate and their ability to grasp information. Employer organizes monthly training sessions for staff to remain up skilled. Employer also offers incentives to nurses wishing to pursue other qualifications, depending on the nature of the course.
